IOCL Apprentice Educational Qualification
Trade Apprentice – ITI
Candidates applying for Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic and Machinist disciplines should have passed Matriculation along with a regular full-time 2-year ITI course in the relevant trade recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
Technician Apprentice
Candidates should possess a regular full-time 3-year Diploma in the relevant Engineering discipline. The notification prescribes minimum 50% aggregate marks for General/EWS/OBC-NCL candidates and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates against reserved positions.
Graduate Apprentice
For Graduate Apprentice, candidates should possess a regular full-time degree such as BBA / BA / B.Com / B.Sc. with the prescribed percentage of marks.
Data Entry Operator
For Data Entry Operator (Fresher), candidates should have passed Class 12th but should be below Graduate level. For the Skill Certificate Holder category, candidates also need the prescribed Domestic Data Entry Operator skill certificate.
IOCL Apprentice Age Limit 2026
The prescribed age as on 31 August 2026 is:
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum Age: 24 Years
- SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
- OBC-NCL: 3 years relaxation
- PwBD: Relaxation as prescribed in the notification
IOCL Apprentice Stipend
The stipend will be paid according to the provisions of the Apprentices Act, Apprentices Rules and applicable guidelines.
In addition to the statutory stipend, apprentices will be paid ₹2,500 per month towards miscellaneous expenses by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (Marketing Division), Northern Region.
Selection Process – No Written Exam
