Elections Bye elections to the Legislative Council of Andhra Pradesh from for East-West Godavari Teachers Constituency Scheduled to be held on 05.12.2024 (Thursday) - Declaration of Holidays on the day before poll, on the day of poll and on the day of counting of votes as per the necessity Authorization to the concerned Collectors & District Magistrates Issued. Read the following:

1.From the Election Commission of India, New Delhi, Press Note. No. ECI/PN/155/2024, dt.04.11.2024 along with enclosures. 

2.From the Election Commission of India, New Delhi Lr.No.100/LET/ECI/FUNC/AP-LC-G&T/BIEN/2024, dt.04.11.2024

ORDER:

In the reference read above, the Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for Bye elections to the Legislative Council of Andhra Pradesh from for East-West Godavari Teachers' Constituency. As per the schedule the Poll will be held on 05.12.2024 (Thursday) and the Counting of the votes will be on 09.12.2024 (Monday).

2. In this context, the Government hereby authorize the Collectors & District Magistrates of poll going districts to declare a local holiday on the day before poll (04.12.2024), the day of poll (05.12.2024) and on the day of counting of votes (09.12.2024), as per the necessity, for the Offices / Institutions where polling and counting centers are established for the ongoing Biennial elections to the Legislative Council of Andhra Pradesh from Graduates and Teacher's Constituencies & Local Authorities Constituencies. On local holidays the Treasuries, Sub-Treasuries and all other offices/institutions in the District will however function as usual.
