Samagra Shiksha, A.P. SIEMAT Educational initiative title "QR Codes for Flora through Eco Clubs for Mission LIFE, under Samagra Shiksha to commemorate Earth Day on 22nd April, 2025-Certain instructions - Issued.

All the District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators, Samagra shiksha in the state are informed that the Department of School Leadership & Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India has stated that is actively promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices under Mission LIFE (Lifestyle for Environment). In this regard, Department of School Education & Literacy is launching an educational initiative title "QR Codes for Flora" through Eco Clubs for Mission LIFE, under Samagra Shiksha to commemorate Earth Day on 22nd April, 2025. This initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the objectives of Mission LiFE by integrating environmental consciousness with digital innovation. Activities of Eco Clubs for Mission LiFE are supported under Samagra Shiksha.
Further, it is informed that the "QR Codes for Flora" activity entails identification of flora within the school campus and documentation of their details by generation of QR codes containing comprehensive information about each species. SOP for the activity is enclosed herewith for ready reference. The key objectives of this initiative are:
Cultivate Digital Proficiency: Develop students' technical skills in QR code generation and information dissemination.
Promote Mission LiFE Objectives: Instil pro-environmental behaviours and attitudes that contribute to sustainable living.
This initiative is proposed to be launched in all schools on April 22, 2025 (Earth Day), as part of nationwide efforts under the aegis of Eco Clubs for Mission LIFE. Schools are requested to upload the details of the activity on the Eco Clubs for Mission LIFE portal - https://ecoclubs.education.gov.in/.
Hence, all the District Educational Officers and Additional Project Coordinators, Samagra Shiksa in the State are requested to issue instructions to all schools under their jurisdiction for effective implementation of this initiative and to encourage maximum participation. Also they are requested to instruct all school heads of their jurisdiction to go through the Eco clubs for Mission LIFE web portal and understand the operational procedures of the club so as to update and up load data along with photos and videos of World Earth day on the Portal. Eco Clubs for mission LIFE notification is to be displayed in all schools in clear visible area of the School.
