Andhra Pradesh Teachers Transfers 2025: Key FAQs Answered

The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department is currently in the process of the 2025 teachers' transfers. For those involved, understanding the guidelines and common queries is crucial. Based on a recent FAQ document, we've compiled some key questions and their answers to help clarify the process.

Spouse Transfers and Points:

 * Question: A teacher came to Vizianagaram in May 2022 through an inter-district transfer under the spouse category. His wife, also a teacher, is in the current transfer process. Can she utilize spouse points?

 * Answer: Yes. The earlier inter-district transfer is not considered a regular teacher transfer. Therefore, in the present transfer, she is eligible for spouse points.

PETs in "Against PD Post":

 * Question: Can a PET who has completed 8 years of service and is currently working in an "against PD post" without the required qualification apply for the compulsory transfer? If so, can they exercise web options and opt for a vacant "against PD post" in Tirupati Corporation while working in Chittoor Corporation (within the same erstwhile district)?

 * Answer: Yes, the PET has to apply under compulsory transfer within the district. Service points and station points will be calculated proportionately.

Compulsory Transfer Year and Service Points:

 * Question: If 2017 is considered a compulsory transfer year, shouldn't the full 8 years of service points be awarded accordingly?

 * Answer: Service Points can be calculated proportionately.

 * Question: Since those last transferred on 31-08-2017 are now considered for compulsory transfer after completing 8 academic years, shouldn't they be awarded the full 8 years of station points?

 * Answer: Station Points can be calculated proportionately.

Spouses Working in the Same Station:

 * Question: Can spouses who are teachers work...? (The snippet cuts off here, but the previous answer regarding spouse points suggests that efforts are made to accommodate spouses.)

Retirement Exemption:

 * Question: According to Transfer Guidelines Clause 2(i)(d), if an employee is set to retire on or before 31.05.2027 and has completed five years of service, they are exempted from transfer unless they request it. When such an individual submits a transfer request and provides web options, what happens if their current place becomes vacant and allotted, and none of their preferred places are available?

 * Answer: If the Headmaster/Teacher has completed 5/8 years in a particular school and their retirement is within two years, they are eligible to retain in the same school as per sub-rule 2(i)(d) of Transfer G.O.22. If they are willing to apply for a transfer, it will be considered a compulsory transfer, and their post will be shown as vacant. If none of their preferred places are available, the headmaster may be allotted to a leftover vacancy under the fourth category.

This information provides some clarity on common concerns regarding the Andhra Pradesh Teachers Transfers 2025. Stay tuned for more updates and official announcements from the Department of School Education.
