1 A teacher’s husband (who is also a teacher) availed preferential category (Open Heart Surgery) in 2023. The wife has not availed spouse category in the last 8 years. Can she now claim spouse category? No (Earlier Reply: Yes, Spouse points can be availed)
2 While allotting old station points under rationalization, whether total service points i.e., above 8 years shall be considered? No, station points restricted to 8 years.
3 A teacher working as a School Assistant (Sanskrit) and completed 8 years of service, now under compulsory transfer. The teacher’s son is mentally retarded, and applied under preferential category. Is it possible to select a Sanskrit post that is a single post in another school within the same mandal? Yes, we will consider as it is a single post in each school.
4 In 2023, a teacher was transferred using spouse points. At present his post is under reapportionment, declared surplus. Whether both spouse points and old station points will be allotted? Yes, as per G.O Ms.No.22:
Option 1: 5 + present Station points + Special Points
Option 2: Previous station points + Special Points
5 Clarification regarding place choice using spouse points when messages indicate freedom to choose any place.
  • If spouse is in same district, choose places near spouse's working place only.
  • If spouse is in District level post, choose places near to spouse place.
  • If spouse is in State/Zonal post, choose any place in the district.
6 Whether a widower can get 5 points. Widowers are utilizing Child Care Leave also as a single parent? No, only widow can get 5 points, not widower.
7 A teacher with the following service history:
1st: 2009–2012
2nd: 2012–2021 (compulsory transfer)
3rd: 2021–2023 (rationalization)
4th: 2023–2025 (again rationalization)
Which station will be considered for old station points?
Either previous station (2021–2023)
or Reapportionment points (7) + Present station points (2023–2025)
8 A teacher transferred on request by govt order is now surplus. Will he/she get old station points? No, only present station points and Reapportionment points.
9 Request for 5 points for hearing-impaired teacher with 40% to 69% impairment. As per G.O Ms.No.22, employees with 60–70 decibels loss (51% to 70%) are eligible. Revised per PWD Act 2016 and Hon’ble Court discussions.
10 Two SA (English) teachers with same DSC and joining date. One is originally Physical Science teacher converted to English. Who is senior? If Physical Science teacher had higher merit in SGT cadre, he is senior in SA cadre. Hence, original English promoted teacher is junior and surplus.
11 Can NCC teacher opt general vacancies where there is no NCC unit? No, can opt only where respective NCC wing unit is available (Army to Army, Navy to Navy, Airforce to Airforce).
12 Can a teacher use both PH 40% and Spouse points? No, only one can be utilized as per his/her wish.
