All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State are hereby informed that in the reference 1st read above the Government have accorded administrative approval for the implementation of the Mid-Day Meal Programme for all students studying in 1st and 2nd Year Intermediate courses in 475 Government Junior Colleges. Accordingly, Mid Day Meal Scheme has been implemented w.e.f 04.01.2025 in the Govt Jr.Colleges.

Further, informed that junior colleges across the state will reopen w.e.f 02.06.2025 after the summer vacation.

Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors and District Educational Officers in the State requested to take necessary steps to provide the Mid-Day Meal to the Students of Government Jr.Colleges w.e.f 02.06.2025 with out fail.

Further, they are requested to take following preparatory actions for smooth implementation of the MDM scheme in Government Jr. Colleges.

I. Instructions to the DEOs:

1. Ensure Timely Supply of Essentials:

a. Sufficient rice, eggs, and chikkis must be available in all junior colleges by 1st June 2025.

b. Coordinate with vendors for the supply of eggs and chikkis, and with the CivilSupplies Department for supply of rice with in time.

2. Readiness of Cooking Staff and NGOs:

a. Ensure that all cooks are ready to begin preparation of meals for Govt junior college students from June 2nd, 2025, in the mapped institutions.

b. Coordinate with NGOs for the supply of meals from their centralized kitchens to the mapped institutions.

3. Monitoring and Reporting in IMMS App:

a. Coordinate with Dtrict-level Intermediate Education officials to instruct Principals to capture daily student attendance, meals availed, and bill confirmations using the IMMS app.

b. Login credentials have already been provided to all Principals.

4. Co-operation from Head masters:

Issue instructions to all the Head Masters of Schools which are mapped to junior colleges to cooperate in providing necessary support (i.e Handing over of Rice, Egg, Chikki, Cooking Vessels and other all related items and documents before the re-opening of the Jr.Colleges to the Principals of Govt Jr.Colleges) for

the commencement of the Mid-Day Meal Programme in junior colleges from June 2nd, 2025 and coordinate with the concerned CCHs for smooth implementation of MDM Scheme during the summer vacation of Government Schools. II. Instructions to the vendors:

Issue instructions to all the vendors of the egg and chikki to ensure the eggs and chikki must be reached to colleges before re-opening of Jr.Colleges..

Hence, All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the state are requested to issue necessary instructions to all the field functionaries of their jurisdiction in this regard.
