Eligibility Criteria and Application Process
Candidates must ensure they meet all prescribed educational and technical qualifications by the closing date of application. Those awaiting final results are not eligible.
Age Limit (as on July 01, 2025):
- Technician Grade-I Signal: 18-33 years
- Technician Grade III posts: 18-30 years
Age relaxations are applicable as per rules.
How to Apply:
Applications must be submitted ONLINE ONLY through the official RRB websites. Candidates will need to create an account if they haven't already. It's advised to fill details carefully as many fields, including mobile number and email ID, cannot be modified after account creation. A separate application and fee are required for each Pay Level if applying for multiple levels.
Examination Fee and Refund
- For most candidates: ₹500/-. An amount of ₹400/- will be refunded upon appearing in the Computer Based Test (CBT), after deducting bank charges.
- For SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minorities, or Economically Backward Class (EBC) candidates: Reduced fees apply.
Medical Fitness and CBT Details
Candidates shortlisted for Document Verification will undergo medical fitness tests. Visual acuity is a critical component of medical fitness for railway service.
The recruitment process involves a Computer Based Test (CBT).
- Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 1/3rd for every wrong answer.
Syllabus: The syllabus for Technician Grade I Signal includes General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Basics of Computers and Applications, Mathematics, and Basic Science and Engineering. For Technician Grade III, the syllabus covers Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science (10th standard level), and General Awareness.
