Who Can Apply? Eligibility Criteria:
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 25 years old as of the last date of online application. Age relaxations are applicable for SC/ST/OBC and other special categories as per Central Government instructions.
For trades like Constable (Carpenter), (Plumber), (Painter), (Electrician), (Pump Operator), and (Upholster): You need Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board, plus a two-year certificate course from an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in the trade (or similar), OR a one-year ITI certificate course (or Government-affiliated Vocational Institute) with at least one year of experience in the trade.
For trades such as Constable (Cobbler), (Tailor), (Washerman), (Barber), (Sweeper), and (Khoji/Syce): Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board is required, along with proficiency in the respective trade and qualification in the trade test.
For Constable (Cook), (Water Carrier), and (Waiter): Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board is necessary, along with a National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) level-I course in food production or Kitchen from the National Skill Development Corporation or recognized institutes.
- Domicile: Candidates must apply against vacancies allocated to their home/domiciled State only and will need to produce a valid Domicile Certificate.
- Physically Handicapped Category: Candidates belonging to the Physically Handicapped category are not eligible for this recruitment.
The Selection Process:
The recruitment process is multi-stage and comprehensive:
Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET): This is the first phase.
- Race for Male Candidates: 5 Kilometers to be completed within 24 minutes.
- Race for Female Candidates: 1.6 Kilometers to be completed within 8.30 minutes.
- PET is qualifying in nature and does not carry any marks. Ex-servicemen are exempted from PET.
- Written Examination: Successful candidates from PST/PET will proceed to a written examination, which will be 100 marks with 100 objective-type questions and a duration of two hours. The exam will be bilingual (English & Hindi).
- Subjects include: General Awareness/General Knowledge, Knowledge of elementary mathematics, Analytical aptitude and ability to observe distinguished patterns, and Basic knowledge of English or Hindi.
- Qualifying Marks: 35% for UR/EWS & Ex-Servicemen, and 33% for SC/ST/OBC.
- Documentation: Verification of original documents and testimonials.
- Trade Test: Candidates will undergo a trade test specific to the post they applied for. Note that some trades (Carpenter, Plumber, Electrician, Pump Operator, Upholster) do not require a trade test.
- Medical Examination (DME/RME): This is the final stage to ensure candidates are medically and physically fit.
Application Fee:
- For UR, EWS, and OBC Candidates: ₹100/- as examination fee plus ₹50/- service charges (plus 18% GST) levied by the Common Service Centre (CSC).
- Exemptions: Women candidates, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, BSF serving personnel, and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying the examination fee.
- Payment is accepted online only.
Important Instructions for Applicants:
- Ensure all details in the application form match your matriculation certificate.
- Provide a correct and active email address and mobile number for communication.
- Retain your 'Registration-ID' and 'Password' from 'One-Time Registration'.
- Upload clear and legible photographs and signatures; blurred ones will lead to rejection.
