Age Limit and Relaxations:
The upper age limit as of June 30, 2025, for UR/EWS candidates is 33 years for Junior Supervisor, Assistant Superintendent, Nurse, Office Assistant (Finance/IA), Shipwright Fitter, Structural Fitter, Welder, Machinist, and Safety Steward posts. For Technical Assistant posts, it's 36 years, and for Office Assistant (Clerical Staff) and Painter, it's 35 years.
Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen/Agniveer and PwBD candidates as per Government of India guidelines. OBC (NCL) candidates will receive a 3-year age relaxation, and SC/ST candidates will receive a 5-year age relaxation over the upper age limit for UR/EWS candidates. The maximum age, after all relaxations, should not exceed 56 years as on the cut-off date.
Essential Qualifications and Experience (Highlights):
- Junior Supervisor (Safety-Electrical): 3 years full-time Diploma in Electrical Engineering and 1 year full-time Diploma in Industrial Safety, with 2 years of post-qualification supervisory experience.
- Junior Supervisor (Paint): 3 years full-time Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 years of relevant supervisory experience in painting function.
- Assistant Superintendent (Finance): Graduate with Intermediate exam from ICAI/ICWAI OR Full-time MBA (Finance)/2 years PGDM (Finance), with 2 years post-qualification experience in Finance.
- Technical Assistant (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Shipbuilding): 3 years full-time Diploma in the respective engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the line.
- Nurse (Male): B.Sc Nursing or 2 years full-time Diploma in Nursing & Midwifery with 2 years working experience in a hospital or Government/PSU medical centers.
- Office Assistant (Clerical Staff): Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a 1-year certificate in computer applications and 3 years clerical experience.
- Shipwright Fitter: SSC with Training Certificate from Deck/Engine department and 2 years experience.
- Structural Fitter: ITI & NCTVT in Structural Fitter/Fitter/Fitter General/Sheet Metal Worker trade with 2 years experience.
- Welder: ITI in Welder trade with 2 years experience.
- Machinist: ITI in Machinist trade with 2 years experience.
- Safety Steward: SSC and one-year diploma in Industrial safety/fire & safety/Safety management with 2 years experience.
- Painter: SSC qualification with 4 years experience.
Note: For Technical Assistant posts, a Diploma in the respective engineering field is an essential requirement. Candidates with B.E./B.Tech without a Diploma will not be considered.
Selection Process:
The selection process involves a written test, document verification, and a skill/trade test. The written test will comprise 25% General Aptitude and 75% subject/trade-related questions.
The weightage for the written test and skill test varies by post:
- Posts Sl. No. 1 to 4: Written test 50%, Skill test 50%
- Posts Sl. No. 5 to 11: Written test 40%, Skill test 60%
- Posts Sl. No. 12 to 17: Written test 30%, Skill test 70%
Minimum qualifying marks for the written test and skill test are 40% for General/EWS candidates and 35% for SC/ST/PwBD/OBC candidates.
Application Fee:
A non-refundable application fee of ₹200/- is to be paid online through SBI e-pay. SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen candidates and internal candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.
Important Dates:
The online application portal opens from 00.00 hrs on July 12, 2025, and closes at 17.00 hrs on August 11, 2025.
