* Name: Security Assistant/Executive (SA/Exe)
* Classification: General Central Service, (Group 'C') Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial
* Pay Scale: Level-3 (₹21,700-69,100) in the pay matrix, plus admissible Central Govt. allowances. This includes a Special Security Allowance of 20% of basic pay and cash compensation for duty performed on holidays (up to 30 days).
Are You Eligible?
* Essential Qualifications:
* Matriculation (10th class pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board of Education.
* Possession of a domicile certificate of the State for which you are applying.
* Knowledge of any one local language/dialect mentioned for the specific Subsidiary Intelligence Bureau (SIB) you are applying for. You should be able to read, write, and speak in that language/dialect.
* Desirable Qualification: Field experience in Intelligence work.
* Age Limit: 18-27 years as on August 17, 2025.
* Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, up to 40 years for departmental candidates with 3 years of service, and various relaxations for widows, divorced women, and ex-servicemen.
* Important Note: This post is not suitable for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs), so they should not apply.
Examination Scheme:
The selection process involves three tiers:
* Tier-I (Online Exam):
* Objective type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
* 100 marks, 1-hour duration.
* Sections: General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, Numerical/Analytical/Logical ability & Reasoning, English Language, and General Studies.
* Negative Marking: 1/4 mark for each wrong answer.
* Cut-off Marks (out of 100): UR-30, OBC-28, SC/ST-25, EWS-30. Ex-servicemen are treated in their own category.
* Tier-II (Written Exam):
* Descriptive type.
* 50 marks, 1-hour duration.
* Translation of a 500-word passage from a local language/dialect to English and vice versa.
* Qualifying in Nature: Minimum 20 out of 50 marks required.
* Tier-III (Interview/Personality Test): 50 marks.
Application Process:
* Applications must be submitted ONLINE ONLY through the MHA's website (www.mha.gov.in) or NCS portal (www.ncs.gov.in). No other mode of application will be accepted.
* Fees:
* Recruitment Processing Charges: ₹550/- (applicable to all candidates).
* Examination Fee: ₹100/- (for Male candidates of UR, EWS, and OBC categories).
* Total for applicable male candidates: ₹650/-.
* SC/ST, female candidates, and eligible Ex-Servicemen are exempted from the ₹100 examination fee, but must still pay the ₹550 Recruitment Processing Charges.
* Required Documents (Scanned Copies for Online Application):
* Valid e-mail ID & Mobile Number.
* Recent passport size color photograph (100-200KB, jpg/jpeg, not older than 12 weeks). Ensure the same photo is used throughout the recruitment process.
* Scanned signature (80-150KB, jpg/jpeg).
* Valid photo ID proof issued by Central/State Govt..
* Class X Certificate/Marksheet.
* Class XII or Diploma or Graduation Certificate(s)/Marksheet(s), if acquired.
