Introduction
As per NEP 2020, the focus of assessment in schools is shifting from rote memorisation to competency-based, regular, and formative assessments. The aim is to encourage analysis, critical thinking, and conceptual clarity rather than just memory recall. Assessment will now be for learning, helping teachers and students improve teaching-learning processes continuously.
