DAV Recruitment Staff Timeline for candidates:

October 06 to 12, 2025

  •  Advertisement of vacant posts of schools/zones will be given by the DAV zones/schools in national/regional newspapers
  • A Centralised ONLINE Registration Form will be available on https://davrecruit.davcmc.in/

October 06 to 31, 2025

  • Candidates will fill the form, click the declaration and press "SUBMIT FOR VERIFICATION". THIS IS NOT THE FINAL SUBMISSION. Form will remain editable till candidates go for verification to nearby DAV school.
  • Candidates will take print-out/hardcopy of their online form and go to the nearest DAV School with original testimonials for verification. The form will have an option to search "DAV school near me".

November 01 to 26, 2025

  • Candidates will go to the nearest DAV School with original testimonials. The online form will be opened by the school using the candidate's registered mobile number and OTP.
  • DAV School officials will check original testimonials and verify the eligibility as per DAVCMC norms. Online form will be edited, if required.
  • After all verification & modification, if found eligible, DAV School officials will click a declaration to certify that the candidate is eligible for CBT 2026 & press "VERIFIED & APPROVED". After this no change in the form will be made and the candidate will make an online payment.

Till November 30, 2025

  • Payment button will be activated as soon as "VERIFIED & APPROVED" is clicked by DAV School.
  • Candidates will make payment within 7 days after "VERIFIED & APPROVED" is clicked.
  • Rs. 300/- online payment will be made by the candidate. Only paid candidates will appear in CBT.

December 2025

  • DAVCMC will process paid applications and create a datesheet for CBT 2026.
  • On appointed date/s, the online CBT portal on Recruitment website https://davrecruit.davcmc.in/ will open for selection of exam centers.
  • Candidates will select the exam centre, date and slot of CBT online, on a first come-first serve basis.
  • Admit Cards will be issued to candidates, and can be downloaded from the recruitment website.

January 2026

  • CBT Test will be conducted all over India as per the datesheet.
  • Results will be announced within 15-20 days after the last CBT Test.
  • Qualified Candidates will be able to download their Provisional Eligibility Card. (PEC).

POST CBT

  • Schools will advertise in newspapers, whenever they want to have demo-interview round (Phase 3).
  • Only candidates who clear the demo & interview will be offered employment in DAV schools.
  • A nominal handling fee may be charged by schools from candidates.

IMPORTANT POINTS TO REMEMBER

(FOR CANDIDATES)

No candidate will be allowed to appear in the CBT from the exam centre (school) where he/she or his/her spouse or relative is/are working.

WHO CAN AND MUST APPEAR IN CBT - JANUARY 2026

  • New candidates, who want employment in DAV school/s.
  • Contractual staff, whose contract is expiring in 2026, if they want to continue in DAV.
  • Visiting employees working in DAV schools, if they want to continue in DAV.
  • Those who cleared CBT 2025 but could not get selected in demo/interview round in any DAV school must appear in CBT 2026 as their P.E.C. will expire in January 2026.
  • Regular DAV staff members aspiring for upgradation to a higher post/designation (if there is a vacancy in the school)

IMPORTANT : CBT qualified candidate, who has got employment at a DAV school by virtue of CBT 2025, need not appear in CBT 2026, ONLY IF he/she continues to work in the same school at the same post. However, for joining another DAV school, in the same/other state/city the candidate will have to appear in CBT 2026.

IMPORTANT : All candidates must use their RMN (Registered Mobile Number) and their own email id to login and fill the CBT Registration form. The same mobile number & email id will be required for verification of testimonials at DAV school, download the admit card or P.E.C. in the later stages.

Hence, candidates are warned not to change their mobile number or use someone else’s mobile number for registration.

Duplicate applications will not be accepted for CBT 2026. Each candidate must apply for ONE POST ONLY.

The datesheet will be condensed and multiple exams will fall on a particular day/slot. Hence, candidates must apply for the post they are eligible for and confident about.

To appear in CBT 2026, CBT Registration Form will be filled by the eligible candidates and exam fee will be paid online on DAV Recruitment website - https://davrecruit.davcmc.in/. Keep checking for updates on the website.

PGT (Post Graduate Teacher)

Educational Qualification:

  • Post-Graduation: In the relevant subject with at least 50% marks from a UGC-recognized university

  • Professional Qualification: B.Ed., J.B.T., D.El.Ed., or D.Ed. (2 years regular)  from NCTE-approved college.
  • CTET/STET Paper I  as per state eligibility is mandatory.

Educational Qualification:

Graduation from a UGC-recognized university.

THE THREE-PHASE DAV RECRUITMENT PROCESS

PHASE 1

Advertisement in newspapers by Zones/Schools (October 6 to 12) → Online Registration form filled by candidates : Partial submission (October 6 to 31) → Scrutiny of Career Graph/Eligibility at nearby DAV school : Final submission of form (01 to 26 November) → Payment of CBT Fee (within 7 days after verification) → Eligible to take CBT


PHASE 2

Centre Selection & issue of Admit cards (December) → Conduct of Computer-Based Test (CBT) for eligible & paid candidates by CBT Coordination Team, DAVCMC (January 2026)


PHASE 3

Advertisement by schools/zones for Demo-Interview → Demo, Interview and Selection by the Selection Committee

CBT January 2026 will be a computer-based exam of total 1.5 hours (90 minutes) duration with two papers, held one after the other on the same day & slot.

The exam/s can be held in any one of the 3 shifts :

 Paper 1 : Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning - 20 minutes
   
  • will test Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning
  • will be of 20 minutes with 15 MCQs
  • will be in English medium

Paper 2 : Main Subject paper (of the post applied) – 70 minutes

  •     will test knowledge of the subject/post applied for
  •     will be of 70 minutes with 40 MCQs
  •     will be in English medium except Regional languages, Hindi & Sanskrit

Note : There will be no negative marking.


KIND ATTENTION TGT SCIENCE & TGT SOCIAL SCIENCE CANDIDATES!

    TGT Science : On the day of exam, a choice will be given between Physics, Chemistry & Biology. Candidates will choose any 2 out of the 3 subjects and CBT exam will be based on the 2 selected subjects only.

    TGT Social Science : On the day of exam, a choice will be given between Geography, History+Politcal Science and Economics. Candidates will choose any 2 out of the 3 subjects and CBT exam will be based on the 2 selected subjects only.

Candidates will not be allowed entry inside the centre without the following mandatory documents:

    Print/Hard Copy of Admit Card

    1 recent, coloured passport size photograph of the candidate

    Original Photo identity proof with candidate’s name and photo (matching with name and photo on Admit Card) issued by Government – PAN card/Driving License/Voter ID/Passport/Aadhar Card/ E-Aadhar etc. (with photograph)
