The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have released the official notification CEN No. 05/2025 for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (JE), Depot Material Superintendents (DMS), and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistants (CMA) across various zones in Indian Railways.
A total of 2,569 vacancies have been announced. Eligible candidates can apply online from 31 October 2025 to 30 November 2025.

Vacancy Details:
Post Name: Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA)
Total Vacancies: 2,569
Pay Scale: Level 6 (₹35,400/- + allowances)
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026): 18 to 33 years
Age relaxation applicable as per government norms for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen.
Educational Qualifications
- Candidates must possess a Diploma / Degree in Engineering (relevant discipline) from a recognized university/institution.
- For CMA: B.Sc. in Chemistry/Physics or equivalent qualification.
Note: Candidates awaiting results are not eligible to apply.
Application Fee:
- UR / OBC: ₹500
- SC / ST / PwBD / EBC / Female / ExSM Rs.250
Payment Mode: Online only via Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.
Selection Process:
1. Computer-Based Test (CBT) – Objective type
2. Document Verification (DV)
3. Medical Examination (ME)
> There will be negative marking (1/3 mark) for every wrong answer.
Medical Standards
Candidates must meet the required medical fitness standards (A-3, B-1, or C-1) as prescribed in the Indian Railway Medical Manual.
Nationality
Candidates must be:
- Citizens of India, or
- Subjects of Nepal/Bhutan, or
- Tibetan refugees who came before 01.01.1962, or
- Persons of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanent settlement in India.

2. Create an account or log in using existing RRB credentials.
3. Fill in all required details carefully.
4. Upload scanned documents, live photo, and signature.
5. Pay the fee and submit the application before 30 November 2025.
> Important: Multiple applications to different RRBs will lead to rejection.
