Key Objectives
To create awareness among students about the importance of cleanliness and sanitation.
To encourage active participation of schools in environmental conservation.

To promote plastic-free campuses and green environment initiatives.
To highlight the commitment towards achieving the vision of Swarna Andhra Pradesh.
Activities to be Conducted in Schools
As per the instructions from the School Education Department, all government and private schools in Andhra Pradesh should conduct the following activities during the Swachha Andhra Week:
1. Campus Cleanliness Drive:
Students and teachers together should clean classrooms, playgrounds, and school premises.
2. Awareness Rallies:
Organize local rallies with placards promoting cleanliness, hygiene, and waste management.
3. Essay Writing & Painting Competitions:
Topics: “My Role in Swachha Andhra”, “Clean and Green Villages”, “Plastic-Free Andhra Pradesh”.
4. Tree Plantation Programme:
Encourage students to plant saplings around school premises and maintain them regularly.
5. Handwashing & Hygiene Sessions:
Conduct demonstrations about proper handwashing techniques to prevent diseases.
6. Best Clean School Awards:
Schools maintaining highest standards of cleanliness will be recognized and appreciated.
Departmental Instructions
District Educational Officers (DEOs) and Mandal Educational Officers (MEOs) are instructed to ensure proper implementation of these activities.
Schools should submit a brief activity report along with photographic evidence to the concerned DEO office.
The programme must be conducted in collaboration with local panchayats and municipal authorities.
Documentation of the events should be uploaded to the district education portal by the end of October 2025.
