The School Education Department of Andhra Pradesh has announced the Mega Parent Teacher Meeting 3.0 (MPTM 3.0) for all Government and Aided Primary & Secondary Schools across the state.

According to the Proceedings issued by State Project Director Sri B. Srinivasa Rao, IAS, the Mega PTM aims to strengthen the bond between parents and schools, improve communication, and ensure better academic outcomes for students.

  • Strengthen parent–teacher relationships
  • Share student academic progress transparently
  • Promote Guaranteed FLN (Foundational Literacy & Numeracy)
  • Discuss the Holistic Progress Card (HPC)
  • Build awareness on child safety, mental health & positive parenting
  • Encourage school–community participation

School-Level Preparations (SOP):

  • As per Annexure-II (Pages 6–21), the following preparations are mandatory:

A. Pre-Meeting Preparations

  • Clean and decorate school premises
  • Display signage boards
  • SMS/LEAP App notifications to parents
  • Arrange projectors, speakers, chairs
  • Prepare student progress files, HPC, FLN booklets

B. Invitation Process:

  • Invite parents, alumni, SMC members
  • Send digital invitations
  • Door-to-door motivation by teachers

C. Campus Readiness

  • Beautification of school
  • Clean toilets, drinking water areas
  • Arrange display corners for student work
  • Install progress charts & info-boards

D. Welcome & Registration

  • Arrange reception desk
  • Check attendance of parents
  • Welcome march (for some schools)

E. Parent–Teacher Interaction Areas

  • Classroom-wise seating
  • Separate rooms for one-on-one counselling

  • Academic, psychological and behaviour-related counselling
  • Display of HPC, subject assessment booklets
