All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, District Educational Officers/District School Educational Officers, DIET Principles and Additional Project Co-ordinators are invited to the references read above and they are informed that the Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Education, has requested all States/UTs to undertake suitable activities in schools and educational institutions as per the illustrative list of activities enclosed in Annexure-I to commemorate 150 years of Vande Mataram through year-long activities across the country from 7th November 2025 to 7th November 2026.
Theme - Activity:
7th November 2025:
- Mass singing of Vande Mataram to be organized and same to be uploaded on the campaign website.
- Schools and educational institutions across the country to organize Vande Mataram concerts in line with the national programme on 7 November 2025.
2.Year long:
- Encouraging students to participate in national quiz on Vande Mataram theme via the MyGov platform in coordination with MeitY (MyGov).
- For student outreach, activities like special assemblies dedicated to Vande Mataram, essay competitions, debates, poster making etc. to be organized in schools and educational institutions across the country.
- Vande Mataram music programmes to be organized by bands of schools and educational institutions, NCC etc., in campuses across the country.
- Display of exhibition on Vande Mataram to be put up across all the educational institutions in the country.
Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, District Educational Officers/District School Educational Officers, DIET Principles and Additional Project Co-ordinators of the State are instructed to give wide publicity and ensure active participation of students, teachers, and staff and take necessary action to make the programme a grand success.
