Samagra Shiksha AP DRPs Training Proceedings 2026 | 10-Day ECCE Certificate Course for SGTs

The Government of Andhra Pradesh under Samagra Shiksha has issued proceedings regarding the implementation of a 10-Day Certificate Course in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) for selected Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs) who will serve as District Resource Persons (DRPs).

This training program is part of the NIPUN Bharat Mission, which focuses on strengthening Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) skills among students.

Purpose of the DRPs Training Program

The objective of the program is to strengthen teachers’ capacity in:

  • Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE)
  • Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN)
  • Play-based and activity-based learning methods
  • Inclusive classroom practices
  • Improved teaching methodologies for young learners

The trained teachers will act as District Resource Persons (DRPs) and provide training and academic support to other teachers in their respective districts.

Training Program Schedule

The training will be conducted in two spells in residential mode at various venues across Andhra Pradesh.

Spell – 1

  • Date: 21-03-2026 to 24-03-2026
  • Duration: 3 Days

Spell – 2

  • Date: 26-03-2026 to 28-03-2026

Duration: 3 Days

The training will be conducted at 8 venues across the state, where selected SGTs will participate as DRPs.

District-Wise Training Venues

Some of the major venues for the DRPs training include:

  • Visakhapatnam – Oyster International School
  • East Godavari – Aditya Sai Prasanna College, Rajamahendravaram
  • Krishna District – Prasad V. College, Pamarru
  • Guntur – St. Joseph EL Ed College
  • Nellore – Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management
  • Tirupati – Medico School
  • Kurnool – Amritha Degree College
  • Anantapur / Rayalaseema Region – Acharya College
  • Each venue will host participants from mapped districts under Spell-1 and Spell-2 schedules.

Responsibilities of DRPs

The selected District Resource Persons (DRPs) are required to:

1. Attend the training program at the assigned venue.

2. Report at the venue by 8:00 AM on the first day of training.

3. Ensure 100% participation in the sessions.

4. Later provide training and academic support to teachers at district and mandal levels.

5. Follow instructions issued by Samagra Shiksha and district authorities.

Travel Allowance

Travel Allowance (TA) for attending the training program will be reimbursed by the Women Development and Child Welfare Department as per approved norms.

Implementation:

The training program will be organized by the Women Development and Child Welfare (WDCW) Department in coordination with the Department of School Education under Samagra Shiksha.

A list of selected SGT teachers nominated as DRPs from each mandal has been annexed with the proceedings.

Conclusion:

This initiative aims to build a strong academic support system through trained District Resource Persons (DRPs) who will help improve foundational learning among primary school students across Andhra Pradesh.

The program aligns with the goals of NIPUN Bharat Mission to ensure that every child achieves basic literacy and numeracy skills at the primary level.
