AP Work Adjustment FAQs 2026 – Complete Details: The Andhra Pradesh School Education Department has issued a fresh set of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on Work Adjustment and Teacher Rationalisation dated 25 June 2026. These FAQs clarify several doubts raised by teachers, Headmasters, DEOs, and other education officials regarding surplus posts, staffing norms, deputation, and school-wise teacher allocation.
Key Highlights
1. Schools with Zero Student Enrolment
Primary schools with no student enrolment can have their teaching posts identified as surplus.
2. Schools Functioning at Two Locations
If a primary school functions in two locations under a single UDISE code, it will not be treated as two separate schools. Existing MPS norms will continue.
3. High School Plus Teachers
Teachers working in High School Plus (Classes XI & XII) with enrolled students should not be treated as surplus.
4. MTS Teacher or Regular SGT?
Where one Regular SGT and one MTS Teacher are working and one post becomes surplus, the MTS Teacher post will be treated as surplus.
5. Upper Primary School Staff Rationalisation
If an Upper Primary School has reduced enrolment and one teaching post becomes surplus, the SA-Maths post will be treated as surplus as per G.O.Ms.No.21, dated 13.05.2025.
6. Teachers on Deputation
Teachers working on deputation in VSK or SCERT Assessment Cell can be adjusted through the work adjustment process.
7. Foundation School (FS) Staffing
For Foundation Schools with 21 to 60 students, two SGT posts should be allotted.
8. Basic Primary School (BPS) Staffing
If a BPS enrolment increases to 60 or more students, it will be treated as an MPS, and five Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs) shall be allotted according to MPS norms.
Why These FAQs Matter
These clarifications provide transparency in the 2026 teacher work adjustment process and help schools implement staff rationalisation according to the latest government norms.
