AP Mega PTM 4.0 Plantation Programme 2026 – Green Passport, Student Registration & Monitoring Guidelines
ORDER:
The Government of Andhra Pradesh organized the Mega Parent Teacher Meeting 2.0 (Mega PTM 2.0) on 10.07.2025, as part of which plantation activities were taken up across the State. Accordingly, 44,37,118 saplings were arranged through the Forest Department for distribution to schools in all 26 districts.
The APCs, in coordination with the Forest Department, facilitated the receipt of saplings by the MEOs from the nearest Forest Nurseries and their distribution to the concerned schools for plantation.
The RJDSEs, DEOs and APCs were instructed to facilitate registration of interested students in the LEAP App and undertake necessary preparatory activities. A total of 49,30,131 Green Passports have been procured and supplied to students across the State.
Vide ref. 6th, the Government of Andhra Pradesh organized Mega Parent Teacher Meeting 4.0 across the State on 24.07.2026. As part of the programme, the Hon'ble Chief Minister attended the programme at Rampachodavaram, Polavaram District.
During the programme, the Hon'ble Chief Minister specifically instructed that the growth and survival status of saplings planted by students be monitored regularly by utilizing modern technology. He further directed that an AI-based application/system be developed and integrated for effective monitoring, enabling periodic tracking, documentation and reporting of the growth and survival status of the saplings.
Further, vide the reference 7th cited, the development of an AI-based application/system has been proposed for monitoring the growth, health and survival of saplings planted by students through geo-tagging, periodic photographic documentation and AI-enabled monitoring.
In continuation of the above, and as part of the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" Campaign and Eco Clubs for Mission LiFE, the following instructions are hereby issued:
1. Student Registration: Ensure registration of all eligible/interested students and updation of plantation details in the LEAP App/Green Passport module.
2. Plantation: Ensure proper plantation of the saplings in schools or other suitable locations and their protection and maintenance.
3. Record Maintenance: Maintain proper records of saplings received, distributed, planted and surviving.
4. Monitoring: Monitor the growth, health and survival of the planted saplings periodically through geo-tagging and photographic documentation, as and when enabled in the prescribed application.
5. Student Participation: Ensure active participation of students in the care and protection of the saplings planted by them.
The RJDSEs, DEOs, APCs and MEOs shall review the progress regularly and take necessary follow-up action. They shall ensure timely updation of data and furnish progress reports as and when required.
All concerned officers shall ensure effective implementation, accurate data updation and regular monitoring of the above activities.
