1. UPSC EPFO APFC Recruitment 2026

UPSC has released the EPFO Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) Recruitment 2026 notification.

80 APFC posts are available.

Online applications begin on 22 August 2026. 

2. India’s Monetary Policy Outlook

The RBI kept the repo rate at 5.25% at its August policy meeting.

RBI policymakers indicated that inflation risks could require a future rate hike if price pressures intensify.

RBI raised its FY2026–27 growth forecast to 6.7%. 

3. BRICS Youth Energy Summit

India hosted the 8th BRICS Youth Energy Summit virtually on 17 August 2026 under its BRICS Chairship.

The summit focused on youth participation and cooperation in the energy sector.
