Here is a possible conversation between me (the Good Old Man) and my wife:

Me: (excitedly) Oh, wife! You won't believe what I've found!

Wife: (curiously) What is it, dear? You look like you've struck gold!

Me: (laughing) Well, not gold, but something almost as valuable! With the help of our faithful dog, I've found a pile of magical ash!

Wife: (amazed) Magical ash? What does it do?

Me: (smiling) Legend has it that this ash has the power to make barren trees bloom! Can you imagine our orchard, once again filled with beautiful cherry blossoms?

Wife: (overjoyed) Oh, dear husband! This is the most wonderful news! Our orchard has been barren for so long... (starts tearing up)

Me: (comforting her) Don't cry, dear wife. We'll sprinkle the ash on the trees, and soon they'll be blooming again. We'll have the most beautiful orchard in all the land!

Wife: (smiling) I'm so proud of you, dear husband. You've always been a hard worker and a kind soul. This is a wonderful blessing for our family.

Me: (smiling back) It's all thanks to our loyal dog, who helped me find the ash. And now, let's get to work and make our orchard bloom again!

6 b) One day I was digging in my garden. A man in ordinary clothes came to see me. I knew it was the king, for I had heard that he often wandered among his people in disguise. Last month, my aunt decided to visit her parents, leaving my uncle

to fend for himself. He

took on the challenge of cooking his own meals, but being a bit absent-minded, things didn't quite go as planned. One day, while preparing lunch, my uncle put the vegetables on the stove and then got distracted by his bicycle, which needed cleaning. He took it outside and began scrubbing away, completely forgetting about the vegetables simmering away on the stove.

Just as the vegetables were about to burn to a crisp, our neighbor, Mrs. Sharma, called out

from next door, "Something's burning! Is everything okay?" My uncle's heart skipped a beat

as he rushed back into the kitchen to save his lunch.

In his haste, he grabbed what he thought was the cooking oil and poured it over the vegetables. Unfortunately, it wasn't cooking oil at all - it was engine oil from his bicycle!

The result was a pot of inedible, oil-drenched vegetables that were more suitable for lubricating a bike chain than for human consumption. My uncle was left standing in the

kitchen, staring at the ruined meal in dismay. He couldn't help but laugh at his own absent- mindedness and the absurdity of the situation.
