ORDER:
The State of Andhra Pradesh is the first linguistically formed State in the country, holds the Telugu language in high esteem, as it is spoken by more than ninety-five percent of the population. Government Orders (G.Os.) plays a vital role in the functioning of any Government. They serve as the official instruments for conveying decisions, instructions, policies, and regulations issued by the Government to various Departments, officials and the public. Providing Government Orders in both English and Telugu languages ensures inclusivity and accessibility for a broader audience, especially in the first linguistically formed State in the Country.
2. In this regard, Government desires to upload every Government orders in Telugu language also in addition to the English language G.O. by all the Departments of Secretariat.
3. Government after careful examination of the matter and to honor the linguistic and cultural heritage of the State, and to promote transparency and inclusivity, the Government have decided that all the Government Orders (G.Os.) shall be made available to the public in both English and Telugu languages.
4 Accordingly, Government hereby order to upload all the Government Orders (G.Os.) both in English and Telugu languages in GOIR web portal by all the Departments of Secretariat with immediate effect.
5. The IT, E & C Department shall make necessary provisions for uploading of GOs both in English and Telugu languages in GOIR web portal in the (3) scenarios i.e., (1). Uploading of approved G.O. in English version. in the 1st instance and then uploading the translated version of Telugu in 1 (or) 2 days, (2). Uploading of approved G.O. in Telugu Version in the 1 instances and then uploading the translation version of English in 1 (or) 2 days and (3). Uploading of both English & Telugu versions at the same time.
6. For uploading of G.Os. of the translated version, the Director of Translations, A.P., Vijayawada shall take necessary action to translate the G.Os. received from all the Departments of Secretariat and retransmit the same to the concerned Department within 1 (or) 2 days.
7. The Officers concerned shall ensure that the spirit, tone, context and intent of the approved G.O. are accurately reflected in the translated G.O.. If any discrepancies or ambiguities in the translated G.O, must be corrected, before uploading in GOIR web portal.
8. All the Departments of Secretariat shall take necessary action accordingly and review the uploading of G.Os. in both versions in GOIR web portal.
