Samagra Shiksha, AP SIEMAT Vidyanjali -School volunteer initiative. Activation of Vidyanjali-CSR Module for Theme Selection and Proposal Preparatioin for the 1st quarter (Jan-Mar) of 2025-Instructions - Issued.

Ref: F.N.4-2/2022-KT, dt.8th January, 2025 of the Deputy Secretary, Government of India, Ministry of Education, Department of School Education and Literacy (Key Task Section), New Delhi.

All the District Educational Officers & District Nodal Officers, Vidyanjali in the State are informed that the Ministry of Education, Department of School Education and Literacy has stated that, the Department of School Education and Literacy administers a school volunteer and community engagement program known as 'Vidyanjali'. The Vidyanjali initiative was launched by the Hon'ble Prime Minister in September, 2021 with the aim to strengthen schools through community participation, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and private sector involvement across the country.

Further, it is informed that, this programme is being implemented online through a portal (https://vidyanjali.educatioin.gov.in) hosted on the website of the Department. It allows any Indian citizen, persons of Indian Origin (PIO) or organizations registered in India to directly connect with government and government aided schools. They can contribute in myriad ways, whether it's providing services, engaging in teaching/instruction activities, donating assets, materials or equipment, all through the Vidyanjali platform. An exclusive CSR module (https://vidyanjali.education.gov.in/csr/) was developed and added on to the portal in October, 2024 for mobilizing resources from companies/ civil societies/ Govt., agencies to strengthen the schooling ecosystem in India. The CSR module provided visibility to prospective CSR contributors, district-wise CSR projects generated by schools under 11 broad themes such as digital infrastructure, equipment for co-curricular activities & sports, basic civil infrastructure and uploaded onto the portal by the State Nodal Officers after due verification at the district. By doing so, Vidyanjali serves as a comprehensive repository of genuine, authenticated projects, reflecting actual needs of schools, which can be leveraged by corporates/CPSEs to channelize contributions to priority areas aligned with their CSR philosophy. As of now, 293 projects generated during the Oct-Dec-2024 quarter seeking CSR contributions is live on the Vidyanjali portal. The CSR projects are generated district-wise for funding support each quarter.

The window for theme selection and project preparation under CSR module for the Jan-March 2025 quarter is now live on the VIDYANJALI platform. States are requested to encourage all districts (including aspirational districts/blocks) to raise projects to facilitate wider CSR participation especially from CPSEs who mainly contribute around their area of operation. The District Nodal officers who have not selected CSR themes for last quarter can also select themes for last quarter from October 2024 and this quarter January 2025 The time frame of the activities scheduled for the current quarter is detailed below:

i. Theme selection by District Nodal Officer: 01st to 09th January, 2025
