Sports Mega DSC-TR (Sports Quota)

1. The applications are invited from the eligible Meritorious Sportspersons for appointment of 421 Teacher Posts under three percent (3%) quota for meritorious sportspersons on horizontal reservation without written examination.

2. The application form along with user guide will be accessible on the official Sports website (https://sports.ap.gov.in) & (https://sportsdsc.apcfss.in) from  2nd May, 2025 to 31th May, 2025. The eligible Meritorious Sportspersons can apply through online for recruitment under sports quota to the posts as stated as prescribed in G.O.Ms.No. 4,Dt: 19.04.2025 of YAT&C(S) Dept., and G.O.Ms.No.47, General Administration (Services-D) Department, Dated:19.04.2025.

3. Those sportspersons who want to avail other than sports quota, he/she may apply for Mega DSC 2025, as per notification given by School Education Department (APDSC) vide notification No.1/Mega DSC-TRC-1/2025, Dt:20.04.2025 & Notification No.02/MEGA DSC-TRC-1/2025, Dated: 20-04-2025

4. The details of posts under various managements for selection of teachers posts under 3% horizontal reservation to meritorious sportspersons are mentioned below

5. This recruitment will be proceeded as per this notification and as per the following rules and GOs issued by the Government from time to time.

iv. G.O.Ms.NO.48, General Administration (Services-D) Department, Dated:20.04.2025.

v. Lr.Rc.No.ESE02-20021/44/2025-RECTMT-CSE, Director of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, Dated:22-04-2025.

Payment of fee:

The applicants have to pay an amount of Rs.750/- towards application fee through  Payment Gateway only from 02/05/2025 to 31/05/2025. The last date for payment of fee, submission of application online and uploading all the requisite certificates online is 31/05/2025. On receipt of fee the candidate shall be issued a ‘Journal Number’ with which he/she can proceed with submission of application online. Issue of Journal  Number does not mean that the candidate has completed submission of application online. It is only a confirmation of the fee received. Once the fee is paid, it will not be refundable under any circumstances. Payment of fee other than online through  payment gateway such as challan/Demand Draft/Cheques will not be considered.

Note: If a candidate intends to apply for more than one post, he/she must submit a single application for all the posts she/ he chooses to apply. However, for each additional post a separate fee must be paid.

8. The step-by-step procedure for submission of application through online will be given in User Guide on official website. The application submitted manually or online with illegible documents will be rejected without further correspondence.

9. Applicants are advised to carefully read Qualifications and Eligibility, Post Wise Qualifications, Age Criteria, Sports Criteria, Persons with Benchmark Criteria & TET Eligibility in the Annexure of this notification for AP Mega DSC 2025 under Sports Quota and ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria for this recruitment before proceeding with the fee payment and submission of the application

10. The persons already working in Government Service/ Autonomous bodies/ Local bodies / Government Aided institutions etc., whether in permanent or temporary capacity or as work charged employees are required to inform in writing under proper acknowledgment to their Head of Office/Department that they are applying for this recruitment. .

11. The Information regarding Qualifications and Eligibility, Post Wise Qualifications, Age Criteria, Sports Criteria, Persons with Benchmark Criteria & TET Eligibility at Annexure will be available on official websites (https://sports.ap.gov.in) & (https://sportsdsc.apcfss.in) from the date of issue of notification which can be downloaded at free of cost. 

12. The eligible Meritorious Sportsperson who applied under sports quota is not required to write Mega DSC 2025 examination. The SAAP will not issue any hall tickets for regular DSC examination. This notification is only for eligible meritorious persons who wants to avail 3% horizontal reservation under sports quota without examination. 

13. AGE: No person shall be eligible for this recruitment if he/she is less than 18 years of age and if he/she is more than 44 years of age as on 01/07/2024. However, in case of all the groups of SC/ST/BCs/EWS candidates the maximum age limit shall be 49 years and in respect of Persons with Benchmark Disabilities candidates the maximum age limit shall be 54 years as per G.O.Ms.No:14, School Education (Services-I) Dept., Dt:17.04.2025. 

Upper age limit for Ex-service Men: 

A candidate who has served in the Armed Forces of the Indian Union is eligible for age relaxation. The length of service rendered in the Armed Forces, plus an additional three years, shall be deducted from the actual age of the candidate for the purpose of determining the maximum age limit for eligibility. 

Note: The age relaxation for Ex-servicemen is applicable for those who have been released from Armed Forces other than by way of Dismissal or Discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency. 

14. Qualifications: 

(a) The Post-wise eligibility conditions are at Annexure enclosed (as prescribed in G.O.Ms.No:15 School Education (Ser.I) Department, dated:19.04.2025, G.O.Ms.No:16 School Education (Ser.I) Department, dated:19.04.2025) and its amendments G.O.Ms.No.17, School Education (Ser-I) Department, Dt:28.04.2025 and G.O.Ms.No.18, School Education (Ser-I) Department, Dt:28.04.2025 

(b) The candidates applying for the posts must be fully qualified for the post applied for and must be in possession of all Certificates as on the last date for submission of applications prescribed in the notification. Only those candidates who are in possession of all eligibility certificates, should apply for the post and there shall not be any kind of relaxation / exemption given in this regard. However, for SA-PE, PETs & PD posts candidate who is applying under sports quota for eligible meritorious sports person, the professional qualifications UG.D.P.Ed, B.P.Ed and M.P.Ed as mentioned in G.O Ms.No. 15, School Education Department & G.O Ms.No. 16, School Education Deportment, Dated: 19.04.2025 are temporarily relaxed as per G.O.Ms.No.04 ,Dated: 19.04.2025, Youth Advancement, Tourism & Culture (Sports & Youth Services) Department and G.O.Ms.No.47, General Administration (Services-D) Department, Dated:19.04.2025. All the G.O’s quoted in the notification are available in the websites (https://sports.ap.gov.in) & (https://sportsdsc.apcfss.in) and the candidates shall go through these G.O’s before filling up the application form.  

Reservations:

a) 3% horizontal reservation is applicable for Meritorious Sports Persons in terms of orders and guidelines issued by the Government vide G.O.Ms.No.47, General Administration (Services.D) Department, Dated:19.04.2025, and G.O.Ms.No.04, Dated: 19.04.2025, Youth Advancement, Tourism & Culture (Sports & Youth Services) Department.

b) The rule of reservation for local candidates is applicable and the provisions of the Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (OLC & RDR) Order (Presidential Order) 1975 and amendments time to time shall be followed strictly.

c) The number of candidates selected shall not be more than the number of vacancies notified. If any post, unfilled for any reason, the horizontal reservation with respect to sports quota stands lapsed.

d) 33 1/3% horizontal reservation shall be applicable for eligible women Meritorious Sportspersons. This exercise shall be conducted duly following the 3% horizontal reservation for Meritorious Sportspersons.

e) A candidate appointed under sports quota should be adjusted in the direct recruitment against the category viz. Open Competition/ Three groups of Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes/ All groups of Backward Classes/ Economically Weaker Sections, to which he/she belongs. In respect of open category, anybody can apply and compete. 

16. Selection Procedure and Instructions:

(a) Mode of Selection for each category of post & other terms and conditions shall be as per guidelines laid down in G.O.Ms.No.04, Dated: 19.04.2025, Youth Advancement, Tourism &Culture (Sports & Youth Services) Department and G.O.Ms.No.47, General Administration (Services-D) Department, Dated:19.04.2025.without written DSC examination & based on sports achievement, under three percent (3%) horizontal reservation to meritorious sportspersons.

(b) Submission of Application Forms:

i. Candidates who are qualified and intending to apply for posts notified in respect of any district shall submit online application as per prescribed procedure.

ii. The applicant shall compulsorily upload his/her own scanned recent photo with signature.

iii. Once candidate submitted valid mobile number for contact, all information, messages will be sent to that mobile number. The Candidates are also advised to frequently visit the official websites (https://sports.ap.gov.in) & (https://sportsdsc.apcfss.in) for update information about Sports Mega DSC2025 recruitment process. 

iv. Candidates who submit false/fake information in online application form shall be liable for criminal prosecution besides rejection of the application or cancellation of selection, as the case may be. v. Management wise and Post wise Option: Since, the notification is issued including the vacant teacher posts under different managements run by the Government/Local Bodies, the candidates applying for the posts should mandatorily follow the below procedure:- 

a. The candidates can apply for more than one post under different Managements as per his eligibility. 

b. If a candidate intends to apply for more than one post, he/she must indicate the order of preference for the posts at the time of submitting the application. For example: If a candidate is applying for multiple positions such as School Assistant (Physics), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), and School Assistant (Mathematics), they should clearly specify their preferences in a sequential order, i.e., 1st preference: School Assistant (Physics), 2nd preference: TGT, 3rd preference: School Assistant (Mathematics). This order of preference will be considered during the selection and allotment process, and once submitted finally, it cannot be changed. 

c. The Options exercised in the online application, shall be final. d. The allotment of posts to the selected candidates shall be made subject to merit in sports achievement and vacancy position provided by the school education department.

e. If a candidate applied for more than one post and comes under zone of selection of different posts / managements, he/she will be selected as per the priority option exercised by the candidate at the time of application submission. And his/her name will not be considered for remaining posts selection

f. Once a candidate is selected for a post based on the given order of preference, he/she will forfeit the opportunity to be considered for the remaining posts or managements. Accordingly, the candidate's name will be automatically removed from all other selection lists for which he/she had applied. This  ensures that each selected candidate is allotted only one post, as per the declared preference.

g. Candidates are advised to exercise their option with extreme caution while selecting their order of preferences for posts / managements.

h. The candidate must personally complete all sections of the application form and thoroughly review the information before submission.

i. The candidate can edit their application form up to the closing date of  online application.

j. The candidate shall be solely responsible for the accuracy of the information provided.

vi. Certificates Upload:

a. Must upload their a) Highest sports achievement certificate at Senior level category. b) Backup certificate at lower-level category. c) Relevant Forms 1, 2, 3 & 5 on the portal. d) Under taking on sports achievements etc. Uploading of these Sports related Certificates are mandatory.

b. Uploading of required certificates other than sports is optional at the time of submission of online application, however, the onus of proving their eligibility rests solely with the candidate must produce the requisite prescribed certificates in original at the time of certificate verification to establish their eligibility. No relaxation of any prescribed criteria, will be considered under any circumstances, at the time of verification of the certificates. 

17. Sports achievements related instructions:

(a) The meritorious sports persons having sports achievements in senior level category of tournaments/championships only will be eligible for applying under sports quota for this notification. Juniors/Sub-junior Category will not be considered.

(b) The eligible meritorious sportsperson should represent the State of Andhra Pradesh in all categories (Nationals/State/Universities).

(c) List of recognized sports disciplines for eligible Meritorious Sportspersons for three percent (3%) Horizontal Reservation in Direct Requirements without written examination is shown below:
