Andhra Pradesh – The State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha, Andhra Pradesh, has sanctioned and released funds totaling ₹2,13,75,000 for the observance of National Day celebrations in 855 Phase-I and Phase-II PM SHRI schools across the state. The circular, Rc. No SS-15021/78/2023-SAMAGRA SSA, directs all Regional Joint Directors of School Education, District Educational Officers, and Additional Project Coordinators of Samagra Shiksha to ensure the conduct of National Day celebrations on August 15, 2025.
The allocated budget of ₹25,000 per school is earmarked for various activities to commemorate the occasion. The detailed breakdown of the sanctioned expenditure per school is as follows:
- Flag hoisting and sound system: ₹2,000
- Conduct of games at school level: ₹5,000
- Paints on historical events (background banners, lightening etc.): ₹3,000
- Essay writing & quiz competition (gifts): ₹5,000
- Painting & Poster making (material, prizes, refreshment & snacks): ₹10,000
- Total: ₹25,000
All concerned officials are instructed to issue necessary instructions to Principals/Head Masters of the respective PM SHRI schools in their jurisdiction. They are also required to upload the estimation and expenditure data on the app developed by the team. This initiative aims to instill a sense of national pride and civic responsibility in the younger generation through meaningful celebrations.
