Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released Notification No. 06/2025 dated 14/07/2025 for the recruitment of Forest Beat Officer (FBO) and Assistant Beat Officer (ABO) in A.P. Forest Subordinate Service.

📌 Important Dates:

• Notification Release Date: 14 July 2025
• Application Start Date: 16 July 2025
• Last Date to Apply: 05 August 2025 (till 11:59 PM)

🪵 Vacancy Details:

• Total Vacancies: 691 Posts
• Forest Beat Officer (FBO): 256 Posts
• Assistant Beat Officer (ABO): 435 Posts

📖 Educational Qualification:

Must have passed Intermediate Examination or its equivalent from a recognized board.

⚖️ Age Limit (as on 01-07-2025):

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 30 years
• Age Relaxation: Applicable as per rules (5 years for SC/ST/BC/EWS, 10 years for SC/ST in CF vacancies)

🧍 Physical Standards:

For Men: Height: 163 cm, Chest: 84 cm (with 5 cm expansion)

For Women: Height: 150 cm, Chest: 79 cm (with 5 cm expansion)

Relaxations apply for ST and hill area candidates. Walking Test (Qualifying):

• Men: 25 km in 4 hours
• Women: 16 km in 4 hours

2. Register through One Time Profile Registration (OTPR)
3. Fill in the online application form
4. Submit and pay the application fee

💰 Application & Examination Fee:

• Application Processing Fee: ₹250/-
• Examination Fee: ₹80/-
• Exempted Categories: SC/ST/BC/EWS/Ex-Servicemen/White Card Holders/Unemployed Youth

📝 Selection Process:

• Screening Test (OMR based, if applications exceed 200x vacancies)
• Main Examination
• Physical Test (Walking & Medical)
• Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)

📍 Reservation & Local Criteria:

• 80% posts reserved for local candidates
• 100% reservation for Local ST candidates in Scheduled Areas
