Eligibility Criteria
To apply for this apprenticeship, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Educational Qualification:
- B.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. (Hons.) Nursing, or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized university.
- Must have passed the degree through regular mode on or after 2021 (within the last 5 years).
- Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (or equivalent) with any State Nursing Registration Council.
- Age Limit (as of June 30, 2025):
- Minimum: 21 years
- Maximum: 27 years
- Relaxations:
- SC/ST: Up to 32 years (5 years relaxation)
- BC Categories: Up to 30 years (3 years relaxation)
- PwBD: Up to 37 years (10 years relaxation; 15 years for SC/ST, 13 years for BC)
- Medical Fitness: Candidates must be declared medically fit by the SVIMS medical board.
- NATS Portal Registration: Candidates must be registered on the NATS portal and provide their 12-digit NATS enrolment ID in the application.
- Other Requirements:
- Valid PAN Card, Aadhar Card, and a bank account seeded with Aadhar for Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
- Candidates must ensure their bank account is DBT-enabled (check via https://www.npdo.org.in).
Selection Process
The selection process is merit-based and consists of two stages:
- Written Test:
- 40 multiple-choice questions (1 mark each).
- Duration: 60 minutes.
- Venue: SVIMS, Tirupati (details on https://svimstpt.ap.nic.in).
- Interview:
- Conducted on August 20, 2025, at the Committee Hall, near the old Director’s Office, SVIMS.
- In case of a tie in marks, preference will be given to the older candidate.

Documents Required for Verification
At the time of document verification, candidates must bring:
- Class X/SSLC/Matriculation certificate (proof of Date of Birth).
- B.Sc. Nursing degree certificate and mark sheets for all years.
- Nursing Council Registration certificate.
- Latest caste certificate (for SC/ST/BC candidates).

Stipend and Benefits
- Stipend: ₹21,500/month for the one-year apprenticeship period (₹4,500 via NATS DBT + ₹17,000 by SVIMS).
- Leave: 30 days of casual leave per year (pro-rata).
- No HRA or Accommodation: Apprentices are not provided with housing or House Rent Allowance.

- No Employment Guarantee: Completion of the apprenticeship does not entitle candidates to employment at SVIMS.
