The Department of School Education, Andhra Pradesh, has released the detailed guidelines for the State Best Teacher Awards – 2025, to be celebrated on the occasion of Teachers’ Day (GURU PUJOTSAVAM) on 5th September 2025, commemorating the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
📌 Objective
To recognize and honor outstanding teachers working in various government and aided schools across Andhra Pradesh for their exceptional contribution to education.
🧑🏫 Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 10 years of service in the teaching profession.
- Should not have received the State Award previously.
- No pending disciplinary/criminal cases.
- Must have contributed to:
- Improving educational standards.
- Promoting extracurricular activities.
- Developing innovative teaching materials.
- Using ICT tools and ensuring experiential learning.
🏫 Eligible Institutions
Teachers working in ZP, MP, Municipal, Aided Schools, APMS, APSWREIS, APTWREIS, APREIS, KGBV, and DIETs under School Education Dept.
🏆 Award Categories
- Various teaching cadres including HMs, SAs, SGTs, Language Pandits, PETs, Craft/Music/Drawing Teachers, DIET Lecturers.
- Fellow Teacher Nomination (5 teachers can nominate a deserving peer).
- Performance-Based Selection via LEAP App (104 teachers selected statewide).
