Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Age: Must be between 15 and 24 years old as of the application cut-off date. The upper age limit is relaxed for certain categories: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC-NCL, and 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). An additional 10-year relaxation is available for Ex-servicemen who have served a minimum of six months, provided they have not already joined a government service on the civil side after availing Ex-servicemen status.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 10th-class examination or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks under the 10+2 system. They must also possess a National Trade Certificate in the notified trade, issued by NCVT/SCVT.
Application Process and Fees
- Applications must be submitted online through the official RRC-ER website. No other mode of application will be accepted.
- The application fee is Rs. 100. However, SC, ST, PwBD, and women candidates are exempt from paying this fee.
- Candidates must upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, 10th-grade mark sheet, ITI certificate, and community/PwBD certificates if applicable.
Selection Process
- Selection is based on merit, which is determined by the average of the percentage marks obtained in both matriculation (with a minimum of 50% aggregate) and the ITI examination, with equal weight given to both.
- In cases where two candidates have the same marks, the older candidate will be preferred. If their birth dates are also the same, the candidate who passed the matriculation exam earlier will be considered first.
- A merit list will be prepared for each trade, unit, and community. There will not be a single, centralized merit list.
- Candidates equal to 1.5 times the number of notified training slots will be called for Document Verification (DV).

The number of slots listed is provisional and may change. The administration reserves the right to cancel the notification or the engagement process at its discretion.
