Apprenticeship Details
DMRL is offering a one-year apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961 (Amended 2015, 2019) across various trades. The program provides a stipend as per apprenticeship rules and is designed to equip candidates with practical skills in a high-tech defence research environment. Note: The number of apprentices is indicative and may change based on the final assessment of eligible applications. Reservations for SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories will apply as per the Apprentices Act, 1961, and its amendments.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for this apprenticeship, candidates must meet the following requirements:
1. Qualification: Candidates must have passed the ITI qualifying examination from NCVT or SCVT as a regular candidate.
2. No Prior Apprenticeship: Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, 1961, are not eligible.
3. No Higher Qualifications: Candidates with qualifications higher than ITI are not eligible.
4. Registration: Applicants must register on the Apprenticeship India Portal (www.apprenticeshipindia.org) and select the appropriate trade under **Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory
Key Terms & Conditions
Training Duration: The apprenticeship is strictly for one year, starting from the execution of the contract.
Certificates Required at Joining:
- Police verification certificate
- Conduct/character certificate from the previous educational institute
- Physical fitness certificate from a Civil Assistant Surgeon
- SSC and ITI certificates
- Caste/PWD certificate (valid OBC certificates only)
- Copy of bank passbook, Aadhar card, and one recent passport-size photograph
-No Accommodation or Allowances**: DMRL will not provide hostel accommodation, transport, or any allowances except the stipulated stipend.
- No Job Guarantee: Completion of the apprenticeship does not entitle candidates to temporary or permanent employment at DMRL.
-Selection Process: Verification of credentials will be thorough, and any discrepancies will lead to rejection. Suppression of facts will result in disqualification at any stage.
- Withdrawal Policy: Selected candidates cannot withdraw from training except for reasons beyond their control. Unauthorized absence for more than 15 days will lead to termination without notice.
- No TA/DA: No travel or daily allowances will be provided during the selection process.
