Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) in respective disciplines from AICTE-approved colleges:

Electronics / ECE / Telecommunication / Communication

Mechanical

Computer Science / Computer Engineering

Electrical / Electrical & Electronics

• First Class for UR/OBC/EWS candidates
• Pass Class for SC/ST/PwBD candidates

Candidates with AMIE / AMIETE / GIETE in the relevant discipline are also eligible.

Age Limit (as on 01.10.2025)

General / EWS 25 Years

OBC (NCL) 28 Years

SC / ST 30 Years

PwBD 35 Years (with additional relaxation as per norms)

BEL Probationary Engineer Salary 2025

Selected candidates will be placed in the E-II Grade Pay Scale: 

₹40,000 – 3% – ₹1,40,000

 Approximate CTC: ₹13 Lakhs per annum

Selection Process

BEL will conduct a Computer-Based Test (CBT) followed by an Interview.

Exam Pattern:

Duration: 120 minutes

Total Questions: 125

Technical Questions: 100

Aptitude & Reasoning: 25

Negative Marking: ¼ mark for each wrong answer

Qualifying Marks:

General/OBC/EWS: 35%

SC/ST/PwBD: 30%

Final Selection:

CBT (85% Weightage) + Interview (15% Weightage)

The exam will be conducted across major cities in India, including: Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Ghaziabad, Machilipatnam, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Vijayawada, and others.

Bond and Training Details

• Training Period: 6 months (Orientation/On-the-Job Training)
• Service Agreement: 2 years
• Bond Amount: ₹2,00,000 for breach of service contract
