The School Education Department of Andhra Pradesh has released a new order regarding the revision of Material Cost (Cooking Cost) under the PM POSHAN (MDM) Scheme for Primary, Upper Primary, High School (I-X), and Intermediate students.

This order has been issued by the Director of Mid Day Meal & School Sanitation, dated 18-11-2025, with reference number Rc.No.ESE02-27022/28/2024-MDM-CSE(2638648).

The revision has been introduced following the instructions of the Government of India and the Government of Andhra Pradesh, enhancing the cooking cost for the year 2024-25.

Key Highlights of the New MDM Cooking Cost Revision

• Cooking cost is enhanced for Classes I–V, VI–VIII, IX–X, and Intermediate (1st & 2nd year).
• Enhancement takes effect on 19-02-2025 for Primary and Upper Primary.
• Enhancement takes effect on 08-08-2025 for High School and Intermediate.
• Additional menu charges of Rs.0.40 and Rs.0.43 withdrawn as per earlier orders.

1. Primary Classes (I–V) – 60:40 Ratio:

Instructions Issued:

All Regional Joint Directors, District Educational Officers (DEOs), and Mandal Educational Officers (MEOs) are directed to:

• Implement the revised cooking cost in all schools and junior colleges.
• Ensure timely communication to all field functionaries.
• Acknowledge receipt of the order and take necessary action.
