Type of Commission:
- Short Service Commission (SSC) for both men and women in Flying and Ground Duty branches.
- Flying Branch SSC: 14 years from the date of commissioning.
- Ground Duty (Tech & Non-Tech): 10 years, extendable by 4 years based on service requirements.
Age Limit (as on 01 January 2027)
- Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years (Born between 02 Jan 2003 to 01 Jan 2007).(Upper age limit for candidates with valid CPL is 26 years)
- Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical): 20 to 26 years (Born between 02 Jan 2001 to 01 Jan 2007)
Educational Qualifications:
- Flying Branch: Minimum 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and graduation in any discipline with minimum 60% marks or BE/B.Tech degree.
- Ground Duty (Technical): B.E/B.Tech with minimum 60% marks.
- Ground Duty (Non-Technical): Graduation/Post-graduation with 60% marks.

- AFCAT Entry: ₹550 + GST (non-refundable)
- NCC Special Entry: No fee

- Flying Officers: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 (Level 10 Pay Matrix)
- MSP (Military Service Pay): ₹15,500 per month
