Periodical Increment is an important financial benefit given to Andhra Pradesh Government employees as per their service rules. Employees receive this increment every year or as per the time scale of pay, after satisfactory service during the preceding period.

What is a Periodical Increment?

A Periodical Increment means an annual increase in the basic pay of an employee within their current pay scale.

It is sanctioned by the Drawing and Disbursing Officer (DDO) upon verifying that the employee has completed the required period of service without any disciplinary proceedings.

Eligibility for Periodical Increment

To be eligible for a periodical increment:

1. The employee must have completed 12 months of service in the same pay level.

2. The employee’s service must be satisfactory with no punishments or pending disciplinary cases.

3. The employee must be on duty or eligible leave during the increment period.

4. Increment date is counted from the last increment or date of appointment.

Required Documents for Periodical Increment

Before submitting your application, attach the following:

  • Copy of last Pay Slip / Service Register Page
  • No Due Certificate (if applicable)

  • Leave Statement / Attendance Record
  • Service Verification Certificate from Head of Office

Declaration by Employee

> I hereby declare that I have completed the required period of service and request that my annual increment be sanctioned as per the service rules.

Recommendation of Head of Office / DDO

> Verified the service particulars of the employee and found eligible for the annual periodical increment. Recommended for sanction.

How to Apply for Periodical Increment

Follow these steps carefully:

1. Download the Application Form or use the format given above.

2. Fill all required details such as name, CFMS ID, designation, and increment due date.

3. Attach supporting documents (service register, pay slip, etc.).

4. Submit the form to your DDO / Head of Office for verification.

5. After approval, the DDO will forward it to the Treasury Department for updating in CFMS.

6. You can check your updated pay in your CFMS Payslip after approval.
