Eligibility & Qualifications
- Essential: Graduation (any field) from a recognized university with 5 years experience in mainstream media — OR — Degree / PG Diploma in Journalism / Mass Communication with 3 years experience in mainstream media.
- Language: Proficiency in Hindi / English and knowledge of the respective regional language of the posting.
- Desirable: Hands-on knowledge of search engines & social media; strong knowledge of regional & national current affairs; ability to co-ordinate across media units.
- Age: Below 35 years as on date of notification (18-11-2025).
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Editorial coordination with regional centres and stringers.
- Overseeing incoming news feeds and prioritizing news stories.
- Tagging videos, photos and graphics; adding meta-data to stories.
- Converting video/audio to text using technology and ensuring quality checks.
- Translation and timely feeding of information on shared platforms (if required).
Terms & Important Notes
- Engagement is purely contractual — no claim for regularisation in Prasar Bharati.
- Full-time contractual engagement — external assignments not allowed during the contract.
- Initial period: 1 year (extendable based on performance).
- Either side may discontinue the engagement with one month’s notice or one month’s salary in lieu.
- No TA/DA for tests/interviews. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email.
- Prasar Bharati reserves the right to increase/decrease vacancies.
