The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official NCET 2026 Information Bulletin for admission into the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) for the academic session 2026-27. Candidates seeking admission into Central/State Universities including IITs, NITs, RIEs and Government Colleges can apply online.

As per the official bulletin (Page 1), NCET 2026 is conducted for admission into ITEP programs across India

NCET 2026 Exam Pattern:

As per the examination scheme:

  • Total Questions: 181

  • Questions to Attempt: 160
  • Mode: Objective Type (MCQs)

1. Languages (2 to be chosen out of 38 languages)

2. Domain-Specific Subjects (3 subjects to be chosen)

3. General Test

4. Teaching Aptitude

  • Each section has specific choice-based questions.
  • Duration of exam: 180 minutes

  • Language (Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary)
  • Domain Subjects (As per selected subject)
  • General Test (GK, Current Affairs, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates who have passed or appearing in Class 12 (10+2) are eligible.
  • There is no age limit for NCET 2026.
