AP Teachers Work Adjustment 2026 – Key Highlights
Work Adjustment process initiated for the academic year 2026-27.
Surplus teachers will be adjusted to needy schools across all managements.
Requirement and surplus posts will be identified based on UDISE data as on 20 June 2026.

Junior-most teachers in cadre seniority will be identified as surplus.
Certain categories of teachers are exempted from divisional-level adjustment.

Why Has the Government Initiated Work Adjustment?
Due to variations in student enrolment, some schools are facing teacher shortages while others have excess staff. How Will the Work Adjustment Process Be Conducted?
Phase-I: Mandal Level
Priority will be given in the following order:
Same subject within the same management.

Inter-management adjustment if surplus teachers are still available.
Phase-II: Divisional Level
Teachers who remain unadjusted after Mandal-level counselling will be considered for adjustment within the Division.
