Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
The candidate must have passed graduation between 01 January 2023 and 01 September 2026, both dates inclusive.
Age Limit
The age of the candidate will be calculated as on 01 September 2026.
Candidates should have been born not earlier than 02 September 1998 and not later than 01 September 2006, both dates inclusive.

Local Language Requirement
Candidates who studied the specified local language in 10th or 12th standard and can produce the relevant marksheet/certificate will not be required to undergo the local language test.
Other candidates will have to qualify in the local language test during the Document Verification process. Candidates who fail to qualify the test will not be engaged as apprentices.
Canara Bank Apprentice Stipend 2026
Canara Bank will pay Rs. 10,500 per month into the apprentice's account. The Government share of Rs. 6,150 will be directly credited through DBT as per the applicable guidelines.
The apprenticeship training period is 12 months. The training will include on-the-job training at selected Canara Bank branches according to the course/curriculum.
Selection Process
The selection will be based on a state-wise merit list prepared using the percentage/marks obtained in 12th Standard (HSC/10+2) or Diploma.
- Merit list will be prepared State-wise.
- Higher percentage will be placed higher in the merit list.
- In case of the same percentage, age will be considered as specified in the notification.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 60%.
- Minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates: 55%.
- Document Verification will be conducted.
- Local language test will be conducted where applicable.
- Final engagement is subject to medical fitness.

Important Points Before Applying
- A candidate can opt for training seats in only ONE STATE.
- District preferences may be provided within the selected State.
- District allotment will depend on requirement and availability of training seats.

- The apprenticeship does not guarantee regular employment in Canara Bank.
