Eligibility Criteria:
- Age Limit (as on August 1, 2025):
- NTS: 18-25 years (candidates born not before August 2, 2000, and not later than August 1, 2007).
- Havaldar in CBIC and CBN, and a few posts of MTS: 18-27 years (candidates born not before August 2, 1998, and not later than August 1, 2007).
- Age relaxations are applicable for various categories as per government rules.
Essential Educational Qualifications: (as on August 1, 2025): Candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board.
How to Apply:
Applications must be submitted online through the new SSC website: https://ssc.nic.in/ or via the mySSC mobile application (downloadable from Google Play Store).
Important instructions for applying:
- All candidates who have not generated their One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new website ([suspicious link removed]) will be required to do so. [cite_start]The old OTR from [suspicious link removed] will not be functional.
- Candidates are advised to opt for Aadhaar Based Authentication during OTR. Applications submitted through Aadhaar Authentication will not be rejected if the photograph and/or signature are not as per prescribed standards. [cite_start]Such candidates will also not need to produce recent color photographs or original valid Photo Identity proof for admission to the examination venue.
- The application module is designed to capture a live photograph of the candidate. Candidates should find a place with good light and a plain background, ensure the camera is at eye level, and look straight ahead with their face fully inside the delineated area. [cite_start]Caps, masks, glasses/spectacles, or earphones/headphones should not be worn while capturing the photo.
- Scanned signatures in JPEG/JPG format (10 to 20 KB) with dimensions of about 6.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height) are required.
- Fee Payable: ₹100/- (Rupees one hundred only).
- Exemptions: Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from fee payment.
- Payment Mode: Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit card.
- MTS: The examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination (CBE).
- Havaldar: The examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination (CBE) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST).
